Hawzah News Agency-the Head of Iran’s Seminar Ayatollah Alireza Arafi paid a visit to the Moscow State Library on Monday, July 22 during a meeting with Vadim Duda, the head of this library and the head of the Russian Library Association, stating that the relations between Iran and Russia are in the best historical conditions, adding,” The will of the leaders of the two countries is based on the development and deepening of relations.”
The Iranian senior cleric further pointed out that relations between Iran and Russia not only affect two countries, but also affect the region and the whole world, and in the meantime, thought, culture and knowledge are of great importance as the foundation of relations between nations.”
Referring to the ancient history of books and knowledge in the two countries of Iran and Russia, Ayatollah Arafi pointed out,” If it is based on the deep and sustainable development of bilateral cultural ties, the relations based on science, books and reading should also be strengthened, and hence we support the provision of more cooperation between the libraries of the two countries.”
He also reminded that the city of Qom, as a large religious and scientific hub in Iran, is the center of education for more than one hundred thousand people from Iran and the world in the fields of Islamic sciences.
In another part of his speech, the member of Iran’s Guardian Council emphasized on strengthening bilateral cooperation regarding books publishing, saying,” If we desire to deepen the relations between the two countries, the doors of the libraries of the two countries must be open to the researchers of each other.”
The Head of Iran’s Seminary visited the Russian State Library as one of the largest libraries in the world in Moscow, highlighting the development of bilateral religious and cultural relations in the fields of culture and science, and book reading.
